OK, I'm from a different country but I have suspected something like this. I had no idea the statistics were so high though.
An interesting thing happened a week or two ago. I have a tracker in my yuku profile (coz I'm nosey - LOL) and there were a couple of entries from an odd location. Even when I tracked it down, I still couldn't quite figure out entirely what the Company was about. My guess is that it is some sort of head-hunting Company that provides other business aid. Now, it could be that they are out there searching the Internet for employees or it could just be coincidence. I dunno but it did make me think. |

Right now, it's really easy to find people without advertising, etc. Also, if you did advertise, you would be overwhelmed with resumes.
I can see where it's not fair, but I can see why it happens, too. |

I'm pretty sure that, if all those resumes were from people qualified for the jobs in question, the employers would not mind so much being overwhelmed.
But, less than 1% of the folks sending in their paper are what they are looking for. And it does take time and money to have someone dig through all that.
