He was a good guy and it broke my heart to see him cry. Interesting to see both teams at tribal council... real interesting. And wow, about no vote! This might make the season more interesting from now on. Seems as though Galu might be on to Russhole - good! Let's hope they get rid of him the first chance they get.

I would not think you would want the other tribe to call attention to you. Frequently, if you are on the "losing" side after the merge, if you can hold out until you are the last one left, a lot of times, you can be part of someone forming a majority when the other tribe has to actually start voting each other out. Danni won the game that way and so did Chris D. (the Scout, Twila, Eliza season)

The Yia Yia Club	I felt sorry for Russell, especially when I saw the tears, but really he brought it upon himself trying to be superman. IMO he took the whole "chief" thing way too seriously. Someone suggested that he sit himself out and he wouldn't do it, even tho he knew he wasn't doing well. That isn't good strategy, nor is it good leadership. He made several foolish decisions I think. But I was still sorry for him. Tribal was interesting, actually going, then not having to vote anyone out. The verbal give and take between Russhole and Eric was interesting too. My bet is on Eric being voted their next leader, and I think the rivalry with Russhole will continue in the game and through the merge. Who will come out on top? This season is getting a bit more interesting now.

Posts: 111 10/23/09 15:24	After last night, I say they pull a card from Survivor Thailand and put both tribes in the same camp, but keep them as seperate tribes. Some real tension there last night at tribal council.

Posts: 114 10/24/09 16:09	Yeah, I 've always felt that is one twist from season past that I was surprized has never been brought back. Creates tension, and also lets people start strategizing with the other team for potential post merge alliances.

The Yia Yia Club	I'd like to see them live all together from the beginning. Each challenge everyone would draw lots for "tribes" (or teams of play) and the tribes would change every time. With so many people on the same beach, strategies and Tribal Councils would be chaos - and interesting - and unpredictable. Also, one tribe could not dominate because "tribes" would be constantly changing. Everyone would be playing for themselves from the beginning because there would be no tribe loyalties - but they would also have to be able to be team players for the challenges.

Showing too many people the HII wasn't too swift, like they aren't going to talk to each other??? But Laura's response to him wasn't too smart. Should have done with Monica did, and say what he wants to hear even if you don't trust anything he says. But wow on the quick turn-around and blindside on Erik! I kinda liked him in the beginning, but not so much tonight. Pretty much his whole tribe but Shambo voted him out - wow. I wonder why they kept Shambo in the dark on that? I have a feeling Russell gets immunity next week... not that I want him to. At least he doesn't have the HII anymore!

The Yia Yia Club	I agree about Russell - some respect, some not. He's the one who, in the very beginning, divided his own tribe with the (I think) dumb play of pouring out their water etc. What was up with that?? No reason for that move that I ever saw and it set the tribe up as losers from the start. He was playing a lone game from the beginning, and the team spirit that they need to win was not there thanks to him. He is clever, but he was not so sure of himself last night. And of course Monica and Laura talked about what Russell had said to them. I agree it was dumb to go to so many with the same deal. In the end it was Jaison who came up with the Eric plan and Natalie who played it so nicely. I think they keep Shambo in the dark because she's so dim. She'd mess things up probably by telling everything. I watched the Ponderosa clips of Eric and he is bitter. He talked about it being he and nice Russell who "built" Galu and they betrayed him. Um, Eric... you were after Monica, that's what turned the tide against you.
